The Race reports Mercedes have found a legal way back to a qualifying trick that was previously banned. The original version cut the energy all at once instead of gradually, so the power lasted a few metres longer down the straight. Now, by lifting off the throttle before the battery drains after running continuously at 350 kW, Mercedes stay inside the rules while getting the same effect. It is said to be worth around a tenth of a second in qualifying. Relayed via @MercedesAMGF1BR and translated from Portuguese. πΈπ° via The Race #F1 #Mercedes #F1Tech #BritishGP
